Fishing on Mossø has everything. Beautiful and unpolluted nature, clean water, and possibilities of excellent catch. It is the lake trout first and foremost that has made Mossø well-known. Otherwise, the lake trout is a very rare freshwater fish in Danish waters, but Mossø has a large stock. Lake trouts of three to five kilos are common – whereas seven kilos is quite rare. The zander is another sought-after fish, which is abundant in the lake. There is also a large number of perchs - and specimens of more than a kilo are often caught. In addition to that there is a very wide spectrum of preserved fish, especially roachs and bream can be found in very large specimens. Eel and pike are two additional species of the 24 species of fish that can be caught in Mossø.
